I ‘HEART’ You Card (with Pop up birthday ornaments)

Hey, I am back! Sorry that it has been a long break since my last post. Well, I have made a big move since May and am trying to get myself adapt to the environment. Hopefully I can still be able to take orders from you, though it may not be as much as I can last time till I am able to settle down.

Anyway, back to the card, I made this card early of April. It was a request from my client to make a combination of a birthday card with pop ups inside the card. The design is actually based on card V005-P; however my client requested to have birthday ornaments on the card as well. So, instead of having all small hearts at the front of the card, I replaced some of them with balloons and presents.

Inside of the card is also a combination of hearts and birthday ornaments, such as cakes, party hats and balloons. The card is in half A4 size and comes with a pink envelope.

It has been silent for the past few weeks. Yes, I am a bit busy recently and now back again on track. So, I better share the remaining balloons birthday cards I made last month before more cards are coming in soon! 5 more to go and I’ll just share all in one post.

The balloons on all these cards are almost similar to one another. I cut out the balloon shape in assorted colour papers so that it will be more cheerful. I also used wrapping papers or punched out stars to decorate the back of the card. Ribbons! Yes, I have it on each of the card to let it feels like a gift!

Julius (Paul Frank) Birthday Card

I have a request from my client to make a birthday card with Julius, the monkey by Paul Frank. It’s my first time of making Julius and my client wanted the card to be colourful. So, I made balloons, presents, cake and banners in various colours! It’s fun to work on the card because it’s cheerful. This card does not have any special accessories (ribbons, jewellery stickers, embellishments) used, no double sided tape and nothing, just cut and paste with colourful papers.

Blue and Pink Polka Birthday Balloons Cards

This is another design for the balloons theme. I have made 2 different colours but with the same design. The balloons are always in multiple colours, as you can see. This time the strings are made using lines of papers. In another view, the balloons somehow look like lollipops. Lol!

Anyway, the background is decorated with polka dot wrapping papers. And right at the middle of the card is attached with a birthday tag.

This is the other theme that I made for April babies – balloons. I’m trying to make the card to looks colourful, so, I decided to use different colours for each of the balloons. I cut the balloons one by one and decorated with my gel pens. Each of the balloons has a paper made curly strings. There is a hole right at the centre of the card and its border is covered with beige colour border.

For card B035, the balloons are arranged straight on the card, while in card B038, the balloons are arranged slightly slanted. The birthday tag for card B038 is also decorated with a white mesh ribbon.

Inside of both cards are prepared with a beige paper for your personal message. They come with a blue envelope and light peach envelope respectively.

Red Birthday Cupcake Card

I have made a red birthday card with the cupcake theme too. This cupcake is attached to a white paper, to make it more contrast from the beige wrapping paper. I also used the oil-filtered paper to write the wishes ‘On You Birthday’ and glued it on top of the cupcake. A striking pink ribbon is tied on top of the cupcake too.

Not to forget the pink birthday card with the cupcake theme. I am playing around with the colours when making it. I love the combinations of teal and pink. Also, the combination of pink and blue looks good too! I added a pink ribbon as a decoration of the card and a purple-beige birthday tag on the cupcake.

This is a peach-squarish birthday card with the cupcake theme. The birthday wish tag is also made by the oil-filtered paper, where I wrote the words ‘Happy Birthday’ on top of it. It is then tied with a pink ribbon. The rest of the materials used are almost the same as the previous cards.
