Totoro and Mei Birthday Card

I got a request from my client to make a birthday card with Totoro and Mei (from the anime ‘My Neighbour Totoro’). I used back the design I made for my colleague, except that I removed the other two Totoro’s miniature colleagues and replaced with Mei, the little girl in red pinafore.

Meanwhile, as requested as well, I placed Tweek Tweak (from South Park) inside of the card. He is so cute with the yellow messy hair!

Chinese Lantern Card

While making on Christmas card, I received few pieces of silk cloth from my mom. They are very beautiful ones. And so, I picked one of the red cloths to make Chinese New Year cards! Ta-da…

N006

That’s the result from that piece of red cloth. I even decorated the card with two red lanterns and some punched metallic gold flowers at the side of the card. At the bottom of the cloth, I wrote the words ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’ with metallic gold pen. The card is attached with a beige paper inside the card for your personal message and it comes with a light pink envelope. If required, I can help to write any message inside the card for you, free of charge of course!

Teddy Santa Claus Card

This is my second Christmas card of the year! Yes, a teddy Santa Claus card. Just yesterday, I got myself a Christmas gift for myself, which is another new craft punch – snowflake! I’m so excited to see the effect. So, I used a light gold metallic paper and punched out the snowflakes. It indeed turned out very beautiful, as you can see.

Can you see the metallic gold writings at the bottom of the card? I handwrite myself… I would like to have the manuscript effects. Hopefully it has does its own purposes. =P While at the top of the writings, I have attached a big light pink ribbon to boost up the Christmas mood, you know, presents with lots of beautiful ribbons.

Blessing red roses

Last week, I got an order for 3 stalks of red handmade roses along with the card Z018 for a newly engage couple. All roses are made with blessings. May the new couple and the sender be blessed!

Merry X’mas Snowman Card

My very first Christmas card this year – a snowman! I never made snowman card before and this time, I did it using a metallic white paper to cut the snowman out. Then I am very excited to decorate the snowman with the crystal stickers I have and added a light brown coloured hat. The hands are actually woods in dark brown colour and the nose, which is an orange carrot.

Next, I cut off the trees from a Christmas wrapper that I have and ‘planted’ them on the metallic grey snowy land. Finally I added the Christmas tag with the simple wishes ‘Merry X’mas’. It is handwritten with the pastel white pen.

Inside of the card is white hard cover paper and attached to the front red hard cover paper. You may write your own personal message here.

Customized Cards

November is a busy month for me. I have been receiving more orders till I have no time to work on my personal Christmas project. I aimed to make a few new Christmas cards by mid of November. Hopefully I’ll be able to complete it as soon as possible. *fingers crossed*

In the meanwhile, I received many custom made cards and I would like to share some with you here. The most exciting order which I got recently was to make a series of cards to represent each of the special moments the couple (a monkey and a rabbit) had.

Each of the cards has an envelope as well as a beige paper inside for my client’s personal message.

Next, we have these few cards which are actually from my existing designs, but my client requested to make some changes to each of the cards, which I love it too!

From card F001, a white card originally to a black card.

From card B021-B, originally have balloons behind the cut-off wordings to basketballs.

From card B022, replaced the panda with Mashimaro.

There are many more others which I have not upload, so, stay tune…

During this period, I’m worry if I am able to fulfill my clients’ requirements. Luckily, they are satisfied with my cards so far. I am really glad for their kindness and thoughtfulness.

And I really wanted to thank them. They indeed gave me more ideas on what they would like to see in my future cards. I’ll work even harder, to let you all see more and more cards in future… thanks for all your support! =P

The girl who loves to capture images and travel Birthday Card

This is a custom made card requested from my client. My client requested to have a girl, holding a camera with the background of film strips. She likes to capture images and travels a lot. So, each of the film strips will have few famous places/landmarks.

 

Ta-da…! This is the outcome as requested.

The card is a grey-ish hard cover paper. I drew out the places/landmarks with black gel pen and attached them onto a black paper. I also added a pink-beige birthday tag at the middle of the card.

For You Card

Another red card for your lover… this card can be used for any occasions (i.e. Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Thank you, etc.) I tied up each of the ribbons one by one and glued them on the pink box of the red card. And to make it more outstanding, I even added a pearl-like sitcker at the centre of the ribbons. Among the slightly transparent ribbons, there is a red big heart attached to it. There is this pink arrow at the centre of the card with the wish ‘For You’.

Colourful Presents Birthday Card

This black birthday card is made of birthday wrapper with the wishes happy birthday printed on it. To make it more attractive, I cut off 3 boxes of presents and decorated them with my metallic pens. These presents are attached right at the centre of the card – blue, pink and green. I even tied a white but slightly transparent ribbon at the top of the card. And finally, added a birthday tag with both started and ended with blue jewellery stickers. Recently, I realized that I prefer to make tags with rectangular shape. It is more simple, unique and artistic after having my self-hand writing written on the tag.

I ‘HEART’ You Card

Suddenly, I’m in the mood to make a card in white, full of hearts on it. It was my first time. Yes, to express the words ‘I HEART You’. I used punched hearts in red and pink colours. And right at the centre of the card, I attached a big red heart, with the beige in colour tag. At the side of the lovely words, it is added with pink jewellery sticker. I even tied a pink ribbon at the bottom of the card. If you are interested, I am able to add a tag of the recipient’s name tied together with the ribbon for you.

"I SMURF U"

The Smurf is so famous recently. Till I have a request of making a card with Smurf and Smufette in it! It is a new challenge as I have not made the figure of a Smurf before. I know about this cartoon when I was very young. I don’t remember what the story is about, but just the characters of the cartoon. So, on the day I started to make the card, I read about history of the Smurfs and the story line of the cartoon on net. It is interesting to have learned something new. And that gave me the inspiration on how the Smurf and Smurfette to look like, haha!

So, this it is… a Smurf and Smurfette at the centre of the card.It is surrounded by red and pink hearts! And I was requested to write ‘I SMURF U’ on the card. This phrase is really cute! Hopefully the receiver will like it. This is really a great experience with Smurfs!

I have received an order to make a slightly bigger wedding card for her friend, by using the same couple from card W010. This time, there will be no cake at the front of the card, but the lovely kissing couple. I even added the bride and groom’s names beside the purple ribbon.

Cards for friends

Selamat Hari Raya! It has been a week since Raya and thanks for my clients who have bought Raya cards from me. I learnt a lot during the Raya cards making process, from cutting, punching papers and sticking shining stars. I did face a challenge actually. One night, I was aiming to finish making the Raya cards. In order to complete them, I need to punch and stick all the shining stars on the cards. Then, only I realized that my craft puncher is not working! The metals were stuck to each other till I couldn’t punch. I tried to separate them and punch again. And it stuck again. It was so frustrating. I almost gave up when I suddenly thought of rubbing wax (from candle) on to the metals. I am hoping that it will reduce the metals’ possibility from being stuck again. And yes, at last, the puncher gave me a relief. And I am able to continue my work. Yeay!

I have been working on birthday cards for my colleagues recently after Raya cards. I have completed two of them. But there is one more for my colleague’s 1 year old daughter. I’ll post up once I’m done with it.

If you know the anime My Neighbor Totoro, then you’ll love this card. My colleague loves Totoro. That’s why I made a card with Totoro and friends in it.

While another colleague of mine has a Schnauzer dog. So, I used the dog as the main character on the card. Though both cards really took more time than I usually did for other cards, but I really enjoy looking at the cards. I can really put the cards on the table and stare at it. I really love the moments of making them. Enjoyed myself so much!

More Raya Cards

These are another 2 Raya cards which I have made recently. Does these 2 cards looks nice? I have decided not to use green colour as the theme this time.

R002

The card R002 is in blue colour. Well, what I love the most is the cut-off star shape. It is so nice especially when there is a mosque icon right at the middle of the card. At the side of the card, I have arranged light blue, light green and beige stripes. It does make the card more outstanding! And not to forget, there is a tag of ‘Selamat Hari Raya’ at the bottom of the card. This card comes with a light green envelope.

As for card R003, the card is in pink colour. Instead of having a mosque at the middle of the card, I made 2 ‘ketupats’ in dark and light green colours. I also decorated the card with red flowers. Those flowers are punched using my favourite craft punch. I also tied red ribbons at the top and bottom of the card. This card comes with a white envelope.
